Description

Martin Sprocket & Gear type BS sprockets, also known as a bored-to-size sprockets, include two set screws and a keyway. These finished bore sprockets have been adapted for installation on a shaft without additional components.

Finished bore sprockets are generally used in low power applications and have less clamping power than bushed bore sprockets. And, unlike plain bore sprockets, they cannot be customized or machined to accommodate shaft variations or to suit special application or size requirements.

Martin BS sprockets are made from high carbon steel for high strength and durability. They have a hub extension on one side to provide stability and allow for the use of a full-depth keyway and two standard set screws to attach the sprocket onto a shaft.

Features/Advantages

  • Two set screws and a keyway allow for a stable and secure attachment to the shaft
  • Varying numbers of teeth, hub sizes, and stock bore sizes offer application flexibility
  • The keyway is on the centerline of the tooth
  • Bored-to-size sprockets with 1/2 in. bores and smaller are stocked with two set screws only (no keyway)
  • All sprocket tolerances meet or exceed ANSI standards
  • Manufactured of high carbon steel for strength and durability
